Thutlwa Safari Lodge is an exclusive, self-catering lodge situated in the Black Rhino Game Reserve; adjacent to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The lodge is ideal for a discerning group of 10 looking for a comfortable bush breakaway.
The lodge offers 4 tastefully and spacious thatched-roof chalets; each sharing an open-plan living and entertainment area. Each chalet accommodates 2 adults and two of which include a sleeper couch for young children. The lodge can accommodate a maximum of 8 adults and 2 children. Each chalet is furnished with a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom with his and hers basins, a double shower and a beautiful stone bath. And, for those wanting to fully immerse themselves in nature, there is also an outdoor shower. Each chalet also offers a tea and coffee station, a bar fridge, and a lockable safe to store valuables.
The main entertainment area is spacious and boasts a fully fitted, modern kitchen with a fridge-freezer, an automatic coffee machine, a microwave, an ice machine, and other appliances. An 8-seater dining room is adjacent to the casual lounge, where guests can relax and socialise after dinner. The formal lounge is an area where you can read a book or head to the bar area for a few drinks. There are both wine and beverage fridges available for you to utilize on a self-stock basis.
The boma and braai area is adjoined to a large thatched lapa, which offers a large dining table for alfresco dining. Guests can lounge around the pool or take a stroll to the thatched viewing deck, located a few metres away. The lodge is surrounded by an electrified fence to keep you safe from the Big 5 animals, which are regularly spotted in the area.
